Her work is based on the theme of the physical sensations brought about by color.

She uses a variety of unconventional techniques, including acrylic paint on canvas or paper, stamping and collage.

Her works are characterized by the beauty and impact of their striking colors, which is influenced by the contemporary American paintings he grew up seeing during his childhood in the 1960s and 1970s, mainly modernist art and color field painting.

Ishikura’s strong admiration for graphical, flat surfaces is the starting point of his work. By weaving in the elements of the four seasons, which are unique to the Japanese, she completes her unique world of work.

She is currently planning and working on four projects mainly.

Pink Project: Reminiscent of flowers blooming. The concept is hope for the future.

Blue Project: Inspired by the endless sky and sea. Expanding his own unique world.

Earth Color Project: Returning to the land and harvesting. Condensing the results.

Monotone Project: Images of snow and night. Returning to the origin and preparing for a new journey.
